As you have probably gathered, the jury is still out about whether or not consuming a shake within one hour AFTER training actually provides any real advantages when it comes to muscle strength, size, and performance.

Based on the research that is relevant to strength athletes, it is apparent that consuming protein and carbohydrates around your training session will lead to positive adaptations in the long run. If a protein shake immediately post-workout is already a part of your routine, there is no reason to stop.

It is certainly not hurting you. One lesson you can take away from this research is not to neglect your pre-workout nutrition just because the post-workout window has been put on a pedestal. There is plenty of evidence that sandwiching your workout with protein, carbohydrate, and even creatine is worth your while.

This is my first time purchasing it through Amazon and I received the products open, I mean the seal under the pod was broken and even before removing the lid I could see powder dust around the lid and bottle. The flavor was also different and it had a smell of like plastic both flavor and smell were very distinct I only use 1 scoop a day first thing in the morning can tell a difference in strength and muscle development.

I go country western dancing twice a week over 15 miles of dancing each week on average and lift weights 5 mornings a week. I am a pretty skinny person by nature with a very high metabolism; I sweat a ton when I do aerobic exercise.

This drink has many benefits for me. I am able to build muscle instead of burn it away. When I used to work out or dance without drinking this stuff, my muscles, ligaments, and tendons would all hurt. Thanks to this, I don't hurt while exercising and I typically wake up the next morning feeling fully healed. Without this, I used to have post exertional malaise, which would mean I'd wake up the next morning and not really feel well in my brain, not want to do anything, and feel overall like I couldn't move my body.

Thanks to this, along with BCAA and L-glutamine I order from Puritan's Pride, I am able to function like a normal human being even after extra intense dancing like 10 miles in one night.

Concerning muscle building and all that, I don't personally get a ton of muscle growth, but my metabolism is so high I suppose, that I I shouldn't look like Arnold because of this. This protein shake mix is great for a person like me who burns calories just by blinking, and I really appreciate the extra calories this contains. If you have a belly, this could make it grow, but for me I'm actually 2 inches skinnier around the waist than I was. Anyway, on to other details about the product I put two scoops of it in 32 ounces of water in a tupperware thing, shake it, and drink it during my weight lifting or after a night of dancing.

It mixes really well with water. I don't recommend it with milk. It doesn't mix well and doesn't taste as good. It can leave you with a bit of phlegm either way you do it but every one of the protein drinks I've tried has done that. At least this one mixes well, isn't gritty, and doesn't have a bad taste or aftertaste. Some shakes are gross to try to drink. I can chug the entire 32 ounces in a matter of a minute if I'm really thirsty. It also contains a lot of things that seem good for you, a lot of extra vitamins that other mixes don't have.

Overall, this is a great product. Nearly two years since my first review and at least 3 years of using this, this is still my favorite protein shake mix. Unfortunately, due to the design of the safety seal underneath the lid, this product can end up being stale when it arrives due to the seal not technically being sealed or the container can even bust open in shipping.

I've bought one each from Vitacost and Puritan Pride that arrived stale due to the safety seal being such a poor design. It's just something to have to put up with, with this product, or maybe all protein mixes. It's still my favorite though, it tastes great and does the job. You'll know if it is stale if it heavily smells like Playdoh and the taste is terrible. If that's the problem, report it to the seller and get your money back or new product sent to you at no cost to you.

My most recent purchase of it was from Amazon on October 7, It arrived as perfect as this product ever arrives--seal barely stuck on the opening and everything otherwise alright. I'm not as hardcore as I was nearly two years ago, I don't work out with weights 5 days a week anymore or dance 15 miles a weekend more like 6 a weekend these days. So I'm not going through this stuff like I used to. I typically only open the container 1 or 2 days a week.

I have tried others but always anabolic muscle protein shake to this product. Mixing into milk will further increase the protein and caloric content, and make the shake thicker and creamier. Overall, this is a prrotein product. This bottle is filled by weight, not volume. This might as well be carved in stone at the exit of every gym in the world.
